Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
Gingerbread Template has no accounts, no sign-up forms and no newsletter. You can make and print every template without telling us your name or email. This policy lists what is collected anyway, who handles it and why.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and a few anonymous events: which house type and size are picked, changes under Customize size, the units and paper size used, clicks on Print template and Download PDF, and clicks on Amazon and Pinterest links. It sets first-party cookies (names starting with _ga) to tell a new visit from a returning one. We look at totals, not at individuals.
Your browser's requests to Google include your IP address, as any request on the web does. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, those cookies stay off: Google Analytics only receives cookieless signals that do not identify you across visits. Our tag also tells Google not to use the data for advertising, everywhere.
You can block the cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Google describes how it handles this data in its privacy policy, in the section on sites that use its services.
Your settings and the page address
When you pick Letter or A4, or inches or centimeters, your browser saves the choice in its local storage (not a cookie), so the next template opens the same way. When you change the house, its settings are added to the page address, for example ?type=aframe&w=6, so you can bookmark or share it. Clearing your browser data removes the saved choices. To pick the paper size the first time, the site reads the language and region settings of your browser (for example, en-US) on your device; they are not sent anywhere.
Templates and PDFs are made in your browser. The sizes you enter are not sent to our server.
Amazon affiliate links
The "What you'll need" lists link to searches on Amazon. gingerbreadtemplate.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. The links carry our tracking ID, and Amazon handles any data from your visit to its site under its own privacy notice. The links are marked as sponsored for search engines.
Save to Pinterest is a plain link that opens Pinterest in a new tab with the template's picture and address. No Pinterest script runs on this site, so Pinterest learns nothing about your visit unless you click.
Contact form
Messages sent through the contact form are handled by Netlify, our hosting provider, on our behalf. Netlify receives and stores what you entered (your email, your name if you gave one, the topic and the message) and passes it on to us. To filter spam, Netlify checks each submission with Akismet, which receives the submission for that check. We use your email only to reply and delete messages once they no longer need an answer.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Netlify, which processes standard request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
Advertising
The site shows no ads today. If ads are added, Google and its partners may use cookies to show and measure ads, and visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent first. This policy will be updated before that happens.
Your choices
- Block or delete the analytics cookies in your browser settings at any time.
- Clear your browser's site data to remove the saved paper size and units.
- Ask us what we hold from a message you sent, or ask us to delete it, by writing to the address below.
Children
The site is meant for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children.
